School Dinners

We are extremely lucky to have our own cook at Bradley C of E (VC) Primary School, who prepares freshly cooked meals in line with the Derbyshire County Council’s menu; www.myschoollunch.co.uk/derbyshire.  All children have access to school dinners; infants are entitled to free school meals, and meals for the junior children currently cost £2.00 per day (may be subject to future change). Termly newletters will detail forthcoming costs and school meals can be paid for termly, half-termly or weekly on our new online SchoolMoney system. Derbyshire County Council policy states that all meals must be paid for in advance.

You may be entitled to free school meals for your Junior children. Please speak to a member of staff if you believe you qualify for this.  Further information can be found on the Derbyshire County Council website: www.derbyshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals and on the school website.

Children can choose to bring a packed lunch if they prefer. These are to be brought into school each day and will be stored in the classroom; it is therefore requested that they contain an ice pack. Children can opt for cooked school lunches on some days of the week and food brought in from home on other days.

Derbyshire Catering Service request that you give us at least 2 weeks notice, if your child wishes to change to, or from schools meals.
