Inspiring Success

At Bradley we have an active and enthusiastic Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA). We aim to provide both parents and pupils with a number of fun social activities throughout the year, whilst raising all important funds for school.

Our committee consists of Mums and Dads, meeting every 2nd month to organise our forthcoming events.  We also have four formal posts, which are elected every February.  These positions are currently held by:

Chair   –   Zena Hinds

Secretary  –  Heidi Tunnicliffe

Treasurer  –  Sarah Graham

We warmly welcome new members at any time. Should you have any enquiries for the PTFA, please contact the school on 01335 370292

We have been asked to raise funds towards the planned library refurbishments and new mezzanine floor. £1000 has already been donated to this cause, with more in the pipeline.

Our events include Bingo nights, Beetle drives, a Barn Dance, as well as our annual Christmas and Summer Fairs. All events are open to all the family, are well supported and great fun.

In addition to this, the PTFA have provided the man-power to help maintain a tidy and welcoming environment for pupils at Bradley School. In both September and May, the PTFA and other parents volunteer on a Saturday to cut hedges, paint outside areas, tidy up the garden and borders and complete general DIY to ensure the school is kept in a manner that we are proud of.

Back by popular demand for Summer Holidays 2016 was our ‘Tuesday Club’, where each Tuesday parents and children met up at different pre-arranged locations for a picnic, chat and games. Places included Ilam, Sudbury Hall and Dovedale. The children enjoyed seeing their friends and parents got a well deserved chance to sit and rest for the day! Details have been released and are attached for this year’s dates and activities. Everyone is very welcome to come along and join us.

We are very proud to say that the hard work of our PTFA has been nationally recognised. The magazine PTA UK found our story inspiring and unique due to our low pupil numbers, yet high level of participation from parents and the local community, and wanted to write about it.

The PTFA produce newsletters on a termly basis with all the information you require on the forthcoming events, plus update the noticeboard outside school. We’ll also place any newsletters, adverts or posters on this website, so keep watch for what’s coming up.

Many thanks
