Bradley School

Welcome to Bradley Primary School. We are conveniently situated on the outskirts of Ashbourne, Derbyshire, just off the A517 Ashbourne to Belper trunk road on Yew Tree Lane, Bradley. Telephone 01335 - 370292. Headteacher Ms. Jane E. Powell MA.

Bradley School is a small, friendly primary school in an idyllic rural location, offering children an excellent start to their educational life, in a safe village location.

The school offers small classes; top quality teaching in all National Curriculum subjects and many additional benefits. As well as academic excellence we also have a strong emphasis on good behaviour, self - confidence and independent learning in order to encourage children to achieve their full potential.

Our last OFSTED inspection said "This outstanding school is valued highly and supported exceptionally well by everyone connected with it. Pupils' achievement is exceptional because the headteacher and staff work very well together to ensure that the quality of teaching is consistently high and at times it is inspirational...teaching engages pupils and brings subjects to life. As a result, pupils are keen to learn and work hard."

We achieve excellent academic results.  As a small school we are not allowed to publish the results of our SATs tests, however the vast majority of children reach, or exceed national expectations.

The School’s Vision Statement

In partnership with parents…

  • We will create a safe environment where staff and pupils feel valued and respected and where differences are celebrated.

  • We will develop creativity, respect for the environment and a thirst for learning in each child.

  • We will use the widest range of opportunities and resources, in and beyond the classroom, to enable every individual to achieve their full potential.

  • We will provide all pupils with a sound moral, spiritual, social and educational grounding, within the care and support of the church and community, to prepare them for a confident life in the future.
